The Gift of Belief

pic of giftRalph Waldo Emerson said that  “Life is a series of surprises and would not be worth taking or keeping if it were not.” I love this quote. Don’t we all love surprises? Well, my life certainly has been full of “surprises,” several of which I didn’t think were very funny. Some I have gleaned gifts from, some I still have not yet discovered.

As I embarked on my life experience called Indiegogo, launching a crowd funding campaign, ”  life showed up to astonish me once again.

I have always been a pioneer of sorts – stepping forth into unknown territory; scared, yet exhilarated at the same time. Even in the midst of not-knowing, something within me has always come through to show me the way. But this time, a gift more powerful than I expected showed up for me, and brought me the surprise of my life.

People I wouldn’t have expected showed up in support and belief in this new chapter in my life I am writing. Friends, family members, mere acquaintances, and even strangers, all joined together to show their love and support for me.  I am humbled and grateful to everyone who stepped out to generously support me in whatever way that was right for them; from “liking” my Facebook page, to commenting on or passing on my messages and tweets, to contributing to my campaign. No gift went unnoticed.

I am here to tell you that belief in another is one of the most powerful actions you can take. No matter how strong or centered I have felt, nothing touches my heart more and encourages me to continue on than the belief another has shown in me. It is as simple as that. Know that you are more powerful than you can possibly imagine, just by being you, and reaching out to show another you believe in them.

Let your Lola out and show someone that you believe in them today!

Love and blessings,

Diane

Aka Babette, Nikki, Gigi and of course, Lola
